VERTICAL GROUP LTD has begun the implementation of a project to secure and strengthen rock slopes in the Iskar Gorge region – one of the most complex and risky infrastructure sections in the country in terms of rock collapses and erosion processes.
The activities are carried out in an alpine manner and include work in difficult-to-reach and steep rock sections using rope access and specialized industrial mountaineering techniques.
The project includes:
scaling (dislodging) of dangerous and eroded rock masses;
clearing of unstable rock sections;
securing of high-risk zones;
installation of stabilization (safety) nets;
anchoring of rock slopes at the top using a “curtain” type system.
