TYPES OF ANCHORS AND TECHNOLOGIES
Anchoring is an engineering solution for strengthening unstable rock and soil masses by installing steel anchors in pre-drilled holes. The aim is to improve the stability of the massif by transferring the loads to deeper and more stable geological layers.
Drilling is carried out with lightweight carriages that allow work on steep and high slopes. Thanks to rope access, the activity can be carried out regardless of the slope, height or difficulty of the terrain.
The anchors used to secure the terrain are:
SELF-DRAINING (IBO) ANCHORS
They consist of a hollow anchor rod, a drilling crown, a sleeve, a plate and a nut. They are suitable for unstable and friable terrains, where drilling and injection are carried out simultaneously. They ensure high load-bearing capacity and quick installation.
DENSE (GEWI) ANCHORS
Constructed of rigid steel rods with spacers, plate and nut. They are used in more stable geological conditions and allow for significant anchoring depth and a high degree of stabilization.
ROPE ANCHORS
Made of galvanized spiral steel wire ropes with eye and spacers, they are particularly suitable for applications requiring greater flexibility and dynamic loads.
APPLICATIONS OF ANCHOR SYSTEMS
Unstable rock slopes pose a serious risk to nearby transportation infrastructure, residential buildings, and industrial sites.
Falling rocks and landslides can lead to material damage, disruption of transport links and danger to passing people and vehicles. For this reason, rock anchoring is widely used in:
