We carried out activities to clean, collapse and secure rock slopes on road III-8604 in the section Plovdiv – Byala Cherkva – Kosovo – an area with mountainous terrain and an increased risk of landslides and rock falls.
The project was aimed at eliminating the consequences of the collapses that occurred, restoring normal road traffic and ensuring traffic safety in the affected section.
In the initial stage, the terrain was cleaned by cutting down bushes, young forest and single trees, which provided access to the rock slopes and created conditions for the safe implementation of subsequent activities.
Then, mechanized collapse of the rock slopes was carried out using hydraulic splitters, during which unstable and dangerous rock masses that threatened the roadway were removed.
In the final stage, the collapsed materials were loaded and transported off-site, ensuring complete cleaning of the section and restoration of normal road operation.
The activities were carried out taking into account the specific conditions of the terrain and the need to maintain traffic safety during work.
